I'm passing by just to warn you guys that there is a facebook page of Guild Wars, well to be honest it's more of a Group, where many people that is still active in game are gathering so they can chat with which other and promote vanquishing, UW, FoW, HA, HM, Dungeons, and other activities that we know so well, on Daily basis.

Full groups without henchies or hero's, by know we could call this a god's miracle.

The brilliant thing about this for my surprise it's that they are extremely active and helpful (more than we could consider normal) and they achieved 1,200 member in just a few weeks.

How on earth they are succeeding on this? Have no clue. And more keeps coming.

Since I didn't see any news here about it whatsoever I thought that it might come as news for you guys.

I highly recommend anyone who doesn't have a Facebook account (if that is even possible) to make one just to get in touch with other guildies.

Yes there is still life in those veins of Guild Wars! Rejoice.

Thank you for the information. That is cool to hear. But I'd rather play with heroes only the rest of my natural life then ever EVER join Facebook. Or Twitter for that matter. And I'm far than alone in that regard. But thanks for the update since it will be of help to many others here.

Aye, I have no FB account ... and prolly never will. I do have a friend who belongs to that group, and she is very impressed with the help and community there. Seems to be an active, friendly bunch. Glad we still have community!

I also don't have a FB account and never plan on making one. My guild is still somewhat active and I just did some rounds of Fort Aspenwood yesterday with some alliance members and random players.

Because of the instancing in GW, it may seem more empty than it is. But there are still plenty of people here

LOL. you guys need to calm down and just use an incognito or internet name with a spoofed birthdate. It's not a big deal.

Anyways, it is good to hear that there is still life in the community working together somewhere at least. I remember the golden days of GW when there were so many active forums as well as Guru, these places were hopping.

I should do some digging on twitter and FB and see if there are any other active community for a few other older games i play.

i'm happy with what i have in GW.... but why all the hate on facebook? i mean, you can see alot of fun things
unlike most, i dont use it to watch and reply on all day, and i watch it only a few times a day

anyway, lets hope anet sees that GW is still way more alive than they expected it to be
then again, they overestimate GW2 a little too much, while many people who play GW, or just are disappointed that GW2 is way too different from GW, wanna play another GW-ish game

then again, would it be smart asking for a true GW2 from the current anet? i dont know....

anyway, i hope to see GW going for years and years
..... and that GW2 moderator to stay away with his autoban programs

I've been in that group for a few months now. The passion for this game is still very real, and I've made some good friends there.

I am a part of the group and have been a while now, even if you don't like facebook.. trust me this group is very active and helpful, it is well worth it. I would recommend just giving it a shot at least, even if that's all you used fb for.
